Success with Goldbeck

Cella GmbH expands logistics capacities in Altenberge

Start of construction for the new headquarters of Cella GmbH: a future-oriented logistics property with office space is being built on 25,000 square meters in Altenberge. With the new building, Cella is expanding its capacities in the areas of fulfillment, contract logistics and warehousing. The company is once again relying on the expertise of Goldbeck's Münster branch, with whom it has already worked successfully four times in the past. Completion is planned for 2026.

Altenberge, March 14, 2025: With the new building in Altenberge, Cella is expanding its capacities in a targeted manner, complementing the existing logistics location in Emsbüren and the logistics hub in Meppen. In order to meet the increasing demand for innovative logistics solutions, the company will create up to 75 new jobs at its new headquarters in Altenberge. "With the new logistics location, we are securing our growth and the space for future-oriented automation solutions," explains Louis Knebelkamp, Business Development Manager at Cella. "This sends out a clear signal: The logistics network continues to grow - in an innovative and future-oriented way. We can always count on Goldbeck as an efficient, quality-conscious and reliable partner."

Enabling innovative logistics solutions

The new hall offers 14,600 square meters of logistics space and 500 square meters of office space and will serve as a strategic hub for industrial and e-commerce customers in the future. In addition, the new "Cella Altenberge" site offers expansion options of up to 45,000 square meters of hall space. Sustainability plays a central role in the new building: heating will be provided by heat pumps, the hall roof will be equipped with a photovoltaic system and the office will have a green roof. There will be 34 parking spaces for employees, including three with pre-installation for electric charging points and two double charging points. Eight bicycle parking spaces complete the offer.

In order to achieve high energy efficiency and optimum insulation values, Goldbeck is constructing the hall with a vertical sandwich façade. The façade of the office building will have a vertical aluminum cassette façade and a mullion-transom façade. "We systematize everything invisible, everything visible is individualized. With this construction method, we realize future-oriented real estate in the usual Goldbeck style," explains Christian Terwey, Goldbeck branch manager Münster.

Continuing the long-term partnership

After initially committing to another partner in the early project phase, Cella switched to its proven partner Goldbeck during the planning phase. "With Goldbeck, we have an experienced partner at our side who understands our needs and optimally implements our requirements," says Nico Brüggemann, Managing Director of Cella GmbH. This is the fifth time that the warehouse logistics company has relied on Goldbeck - most recently for the construction of a logistics site in Emsbüren.
